All timber is T&G plained to avoid splintering. This house is designed with a living room for sleeping, and a pen downstairs. All joints are mortise and tenon. 2 x access doors on both levels. The Spray wire is solid and Non-toxic in case your animals like to chew.

My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. Impressed with the amount of roosting space plus ground space. I plan on redoing the latches on the roosting boxes as they aren’t the strongest and predators “could” get in or my chickens could get out. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. We absolutely love the design and quality of materials. The color is a bit more orange once you open it up. The real issue is the assembly instructions. My wife and are are very hands and have built many things. The main issue is that the order which things are assembled left some big issues towards the end. We just finished putting our coop together. All items were in the box and labeled. It was a big task putting it together but instructions were easy to follow. The coop is really nice but light weight. Need to stake into the ground. Our chickens are too young to put in there but are excited for that day. Very easy to set up. Instructions were very clear. I recommend going slow and steady with screws. The wood is more lightweight. But looks greats and will be perfect for our runner ducks. I would highly recommend applying a coat of polyurethane to seal the wood for outdoor use. I added an extra piece of greenhouse poly panel to the outside run for a little extra weather protection..
