I bought two dog trailers from this company. One of them went well and the screws on the horizontal support bar went in smoothly. The other one had screws that did not tighten securely into the bar. I called Wayfair to see if the manufacturer had replacement screws; they did not as they do not provide replacement parts. So, I had to ship it back and order a new one. [Wayfair Customer Support, I need to add, was fantastic at returning the damaged one and ordering me a new one without too much trouble on my part, so I appreciated that.] Well, the replacement came today and the SAME PROBLEM exists with this one. (see pictures attached). I guess I could have tried to use the trailer with the bolt not fully inserted and tightened, but it just spoke to me as unsafe. Luckily, I have tons of other screws in my toolbox and was able to find two that fit the bar and tightened into place. For people like me who may not have extra screws laying around, they might have had to return the replacement trailer. I haven't used the first trailer but once, so I can't speak to the sturdiness with a heaver dog [I pulled a Pomeranian], I can only attest to the parts inadequacy. [I used to have another child bike trailer that I converted into a dog trailer that had a quick release horizontal support bar. I wish this one had that as well. On these, I will need to unscrew the bar each and every time I pack it up on camping trips and screw them back in when arriving at the campsite. Sometimes, we stay and 7 or 8 places on a trip.
