The sturdy structure can be installed directly into the ground just like a regular wood post and still meet postal requirements. Includes a shelf that can be used to either support the mailbox of your choice directly or used as a platform onto which your mailbox adapter plate can support the mailbox. Please note that the mailbox is not included.

The white post mounted mailbox post system (patent pending) is constructed of high quality commercial grade. The numbers for the number plate are not included but can be purchased at your local hardware store. The assembly is fast and simple with their internal key system that holds the arm firmly in place. All hardware is included (even the bolts that attach the mailbox to the mailbox mounting plate). I searched extensively for a non-wood product that actually looked like real wood and was substantial. This is it. Installation was a breeze if you’re handy with a drill and saw. We used our old 3x3 mail post (with the mailbox support removed) and this post slid right over it. Saved us the step of having to sink a new post into cement, which was huge. The best mailbox post I’ve found during a 2 month arduous search for a high quality piece. Most of the decorative posts I came across in my search were as thin as a milk jug, but not this one. It’s made from a solid PPE-vinyl material that’s evenly colored the same throughout its thickness. (I had to trim 38” from the mailbox mounting plate, so I saw for myself. I included a picture of the scrap piece). It’s SUPER sturdy, has a smooth surface, and cleaning requires a damp cloth, a spray of all purpose cleaner at worst. It’s also beautiful in person…I especially like the little brass plaque with the company name! I chose to have that side showing above the mailbox so the mailman sees every day lol. I think it adds a nice personal touch that other brands don’t bother with. The other ones I found of this quality were several hundred dollars more, and many of them were simply coated or painted wood, needing annual touch up and maintenance. Many were also made to order, and required a 6-8 week wait and 200-250 shipping). ***Tip the instructions state that two bags of concrete are needed, but I found that it only needed one, like every other post I’ve installed. In my opinion, one can save themselves the money and backache by using one bag of quick setting. (QuikCrete sells it in the red bag). Don’t forget that you’ll need a few inches of gravel underneath the concrete for drainage. There are plenty of YouTube videos on post installations.) Wow. For $700, not impressed. Doesn't come with instructions (at all). Also the light they sent is black, so doesn't even match the rustic antique bronze post and mailbox.... the concept was great, but end result for what you paid.. I'm not happy at all. On the directions, how is the best way to mount pole in ground, dig hole? How deep, should you sleeve it or concrete it in? How far down.. things like that.
