The top layer is a polyester felt that is dyed with the image that you see on the mat. The next couple of layers give the mat stability and the bottom of the mat is a rubber that has been stamped to help prevent slipping. To clean this mat, hose it off with a water hose or use a power washer. Do not use any cleaner that produces suds.

I purchased this V A Dianthus coir doormat to replace a V A Strawberry Thief coir doormat which I purchased 2 years ago. The original doormat was beautiful on my covered front stoop, but it had become somewhat worn and the colors faded (as shown in 1 of the 3 attached pictures). The new Dianthus doormat is beautiful and matches the online images and description. The black background looks terrific in front of my black door and the terra cotta hues really pick up the similar colors in my brick steps and foundation.
