The sturdy structure can be installed directly into the ground just like a regular wood post and still meet postal requirements. Includes a shelf that can be used to either support the mailbox of your choice directly or used as a platform onto which your mailbox adapter plate can support the mailbox. Please note that the mailbox is not included.

Wow. For $700, not impressed. Doesn't come with instructions (at all). Also the light they sent is black, so doesn't even match the rustic antique bronze post and mailbox.... the concept was great, but end result for what you paid.. I'm not happy at all. On the directions, how is the best way to mount pole in ground, dig hole? How deep, should you sleeve it or concrete it in? How far down.. things like that.
