An additional mounting bracket/adapter plate is not needed for mounting to Mail Boss branded mailboxes while its 4x4 bolt pattern will also connect to a variety of other mailboxes on the market. This sturdy curbside mailbox post should be installed approximately 12 in. into the ground with concrete.
