We love the large mailbox. I do a lot of purchasing online so we really needed this size. It is sturdy and we dressed it up by purchasing the address on a separate cast iron piece that will attach on top of the mailbox and we also added a nice looking decorative piece that attaches to the bottom of the mailbox and the post. Exactly as expected. Strong, high quality mailbox that arrived quickly. Installation: Easy to attach to a mounting plate using the holes on the bottom of the exterior sides. It’s petty heavy, so be sure to attach to a strong post - I got the Gibraltar Landover post (which is actually hollow) and slid it over a 4x4 sunk 17” into the ground which is 30” above ground (so the 4x4 is a total of 47”). It looks great and was definitely worth the money to upgrade from the low-quality, dented mailbox that the prior owners had chosen. I got custom decals elsewhere to finish the look.. Marion.
