USPS approved and ready to mount with multiple installation points. Curbside durability never looked so good.

Exactly as expected. Strong, high quality mailbox that arrived quickly. Installation: Easy to attach to a mounting plate using the holes on the bottom of the exterior sides. It’s petty heavy, so be sure to attach to a strong post - I got the Gibraltar Landover post (which is actually hollow) and slid it over a 4x4 sunk 17” into the ground which is 30” above ground (so the 4x4 is a total of 47”). It looks great and was definitely worth the money to upgrade from the low-quality, dented mailbox that the prior owners had chosen. I got custom decals elsewhere to finish the look.. Marion. I'm going to go ahead and review even though we are not to the point in our new home build where we are ready to install the mailbox. We did unpack to make sure we have all the parts. We might be missing a "plate" to attach the actual box to the post. One set of instructions said we should have it and the other instruction didn't show it...weird. The holes, however, do match up with the box and post so I'm hoping with this style maybe the missing plate is nothing we need. Each piece seems very sturdy, and it is such an elegant look to it. I can't wait to install. It was pretty pricey, and that was what took me so long to finally purchase. UPDATE: after 3 years, I still love it, BUT a truck clipped it less than a year installed and broke the decorative scroll part off. Unfortunately it’s not made of material that can be welded back on so we had someone make a similar scroll with iron. AND after a couple years the paint completely bubbled and peeled off! See pics for reference. The numbers didn’t last through the first year— All but 1 fell off during the winter and then that summer became discolored. They are currently stuck on with gorilla tape.. The classic style of this mailbox gives rise to its name. The conventional shape of our classic curbside mailbox is the only thing this mailbox has in common with a typical mailbox. The classic is one of our most popular mailboxes because of its beautifully proportioned design and solidly made construction. Sturdy with clean lines the Springfield post fits perfectly with any style of home architecture. The cast aluminum body and time-tested style create a beautiful addition to your front yard. The stainless-steel spring hinge and strong magnetic door latch will keep the door secure while the rustproof cast aluminum, powder-coated body construction creates a weather-resistant mailbox. Roomy and spacious, the classic will fit your important mail, documents, and packages and keep them dry. The housing around the elegant flag is finished to match the body and will ensure the flag will stay upright to signify pickup at your mailbox.
