When it's running it's really quiet when you consider how much it's washing. I tried the fast wash mode the other day and it was done in 30 minutes. It's a really complete and luxorious washing machine... And I never thought I would say the word luxorious when talking about a washing machine. This washer really works well. The digital panel gives you plenty of options and is easy to use. I would give it 5 stars for washing, but I had to take a star off for noise. When it goes into a spin, it sounds like an airplane engine. And because it is in my kitchen, the noise is unfortunately very annoying. I was also disappointed that there was no Stainless Steel option for color, but most all brands of compact washers only come in white now; also unfortunate because all my other kitchen appliances are stainless..
