This is another one of those things that I loved when I saw it and then saw it again...and again. So I finally got it! So happy with it. It is absolutely perfect in the room I got it for. Do note that the lamp comes with plenty of cord and chain to hang it from a higher ceiling. I have a standard height ceiling in the room pictured and installed the lamp by using just the chain lock connector that came with the supplied chain. It worked beautifully, with the lamp not hanging too low in the room for my preference when installed this way. The metal finish on this is very nice as are all of the glass pieces. Installation was pretty straightforward, with the part that took the longest being attaching the glass pieces to the frame. Looks beautiful in my dining room. It comes with multiple down rods so you can adjust how low it hangs, and it has a hinge for angled ceilings. Installation hardware is solid. The only issues I had were that the arms were a bit loose and required taking part of the fixture apart to tighten them, and that the hot/neutral wires are only marked at the end—for shorter installations you have to visually trace the wires and label before trimming them down.. This is a really beautiful light. It has motile length of rods for various lengths. We have 9 foot ceilings and one rod is the perfect length and this is in our foyer. Installation is a bit of a pain. We had to switch out screws for the base to fit on the ceiling. Also, the gold coloring got scratched in a few places and while not super noticeable, tells me that this is a painted metal. Overall this looks really nice and we are pleased.. Laura.
