So far it's a great cutting board. Definitely have to follow the care recommendations for the initial oiling and seasoning for the first week or so. It’s a great medium large size with deep grooves. It’s heavy enough to not slide around but light enough that washing it isn’t too cumbersome. The coloring is a bit splotchy and some areas (the corners of the grooves) could be sanded better. But overall it appears very functional and easy to live with. Wood products should never be washed in the dishwasher. Brb rejuvenates and protects your board by rubbing it down with mint pantryâ® butcher block oil after each use. When the board is dry, apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our butcher block oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood. From time to time, the surface may become "Bumpy". This is completely natural as we leave all of our wood in its natural state with no varnishes or lacquers. You can simply use a high grit sandpaper to smooth it out and oil it again to bring it back to the new!
