This cutting board was inspired by the original boos butcher blocks that were made from a solid piece of hardwood. their product is as close to nature as you can get and has a unique story. Each board is kiln-dried, with rustic edges and slight variances. You can even count the age rings. Some of their boards will have more grain than others; some will have knotholes and discolorations. It took longer than expected to receive the countertop but it arrived in immaculate condition and looks amazing. I put on 3 thin coats of wipe-on water based satin polyurethane to protect it and sanded lightly with steel wool in between coats. The polyurethane really brought out the color without adding too much sheen - it is gorgeous. I know there were some unfavorable reviews for this countertop but I recommend it highly.. Terrell.
