Just get the appropriate mattresses (sold separately), and you're good to go.

My 10 year old has the top bunk and my 2 year old has the bottom.. while it is a beautiful bed, I will say that when my 10 year old at 110 pounds moves around you can definitely feel movement and wobbling from below, but there is a steel bar that runs underneath the top bunk that reassures me that it is secure. It took us a about 3 hours to build, just make sure that the headboard and footboard are in the right facing position bc we had to redo ours. I also will note that the headboard and footboard slats dont fit in snuggly and are wobbly. Pine wood is a softer wood and I am already aware of some dings and dents but am still happy that this is not an MDF product so should hope last still for some years. Overall, still a better price point than big box stores and the value is there for us and our family. Would recommend knowing that its not perfect but functional.. Kerisah. Matthews, NC. Easy put together and very sturdy, no damage to the bed at all. The stairs, trundle and bed frame all came in separate boxes which was nice for putting it up, no getting pieces mixed up. My little heart nieces are so excited to sleep in this bed when they come visit us! It will be great for them now, but it also gives us lots of options when family and friend come to stay. There are A LOT of parts to this bed and took a while to put together, but it sems very sturdy. We had a little snafu with mattresses I had purchased mattresses to go on the bed before the bed came. I realized that the mattress I just purchased was too thick for the top bunk to be safe (safety rails are 12.5, the mattress was 14). Mattress sizing maxes would have been nice to know when I purchased this bed, rather than finding out size in the instructions.. Katy. Mcgaheysville, VA. Thu Sep 03 2026
