Ethan Allen Day Trundle Bed

This daybed provides a streamlined solution for lounging by day and hosting guests by night. Its frame is made from steel and includes a system of slats that support your mattress without the need for a bulky box spring. This piece is ideal for a home office or guest room where maximizing floor space is a priority. The integrated pop-up trundle rests on smooth-rolling casters for easy movement and can be raised to create an even sleeping surface. It also features a powder-coated finish that stands up to daily use.

The bronze color is a rich matte finish brown. I am 64 yo and was able to build it by myself. It did take a while (NOT 1.5 hours for me) and as another reviewer said, pushing all those plastic pieces in was rough on the hands ! It does seem very sturdy though. Well built, not flimsy at all. Don't tighten anything at all until everything is together - leave it really loose. Had to go back and loosen at first for more flexibility in connecting. 8" mattresses coming tomorrow - $99 deal each so the whole thing will be less than $500 for my grandchildren when they visit so they no longer have to bring sleeping bags or camp out on the floor ! I'd show you after the bedding is on but I'll prob forget so here it is....for now. Wendy. Ocean, NJ. Thu Oct 15 2026

The daybed with a pop-up trundle features clean lines, attractive angles, and plenty of classic style. Crafted from kiln-dried wood, it comes in a sleek finish that blends rustic and traditional for a standout look we love. The pop-up easily stores under the bed and wheels out and up when you have overnight guests. It can also combine with the daybed, transforming this piece from two twin beds to a king. Two innerspring mattresses are included, and they're wrapped and generously padded for plenty of support whenever you need to use them.

These beds work well for guests in my extra bedroom. One of the slats broke the second time it was used but Wayfair sent a new set of slats and it has held up so far. Some of the slats are joined rather than single pieces of wood which can create a weak spot. It looks nice as a daybed.. Julie. Portland, OR. Fri Sep 25 2026

This upholstered daybed combines seating and sleeping functions to bring extra versatility into your space. Smooth polyester upholstery adds a tailored texture across the cushioned frame, making it a comfortable spot to relax during the day or rest at night. A fully finished back lets you place it anywhere from against a wall to the center of your home. Plus, the included slat system supports your mattresses without needing a bulky box spring.

We love this day bed. Its high, we did have to add extra screws and 2x2 to reinforce. The bottom mattress is a 8inch top is 10. Neysi. Miami, FL. Sat Sep 19 2026

Solid construction and looks great! My only real critique is the trundle doesn’t slide as easily as I would like… but we also put two 10” mattresses on it, so maybe the weight. Heidi. Mount Pleasant, SC. Mon Sep 14 2026

Whether you use it every day or just occasionally, this daybed will hold up to your lifestyle.

The trundle bed once put together is very nice and fits my needs. The mattresses are a good quality and my guests said they are comfortable. I did put slightly padded mattress pads on them. The bed did arrive with a few scratches and the linen inset was pulled away slightly from the frame. One brad was broken. The trundle does not have a lever to make the bed "pop up" like other trundle beds I have seen. It's not difficult to raise the bed, though. Assembly was time consuming but not difficult. I did it by myself! I don't know if the "actual" price shown is realistic. I wouldn't have paid $2500 for this trundle bed and mattresses. Since I paid $900, I got what I paid for and can't complain.. Leah. Buford, GA. Thu Oct 22 2026

Love love love it. I’m an idiot for not knowing how big 14 inches is for the mattresses. Maybe I shouldn’t have used “men” math when it comes to inches Hahahahah. Anonymous. Fri Oct 16 2026

The bed is very nice, however we did not receive all of the proper screws. There was suppose to 20 of a particular screw. Only received 12 and 8 more of a different screw that didn’t fit anything. Had to find screws to replace the 8 missing. Very frustrating, but we made it work put.. Altrea Jinwright. Fri Sep 18 2026

Son loves it! The only thing I don’t like about it is that the trundle moves every time you get on or off it. It would be perfect if it came with stoppers to prevent it from moving when on it.. Guadalupe. Wed May 27 2026

This daybed features a traditional design with a pullout trundle that gives you additional spots to sleep in your living room or guest room, especially whenever you have guests. This daybed also includes a system of slats that support your mattresses without the need for a bulky box spring.

Building this daybed with trundle lasted a few hours. Kids kept interrupting but like another review mentioned, the slats aren’t marked so it was too late to make corrections after screwing them to the boards. Other than no markings, it went well with just me putting it together, unlike the suggested 2 people. Therefore, 4 stars. One star off for no markings on the tools, screws, and slats.. Marcy.
