The bronze color is a rich matte finish brown. I am 64 yo and was able to build it by myself. It did take a while (NOT 1.5 hours for me) and as another reviewer said, pushing all those plastic pieces in was rough on the hands ! It does seem very sturdy though. Well built, not flimsy at all. Don't tighten anything at all until everything is together - leave it really loose. Had to go back and loosen at first for more flexibility in connecting. 8" mattresses coming tomorrow - $99 deal each so the whole thing will be less than $500 for my grandchildren when they visit so they no longer have to bring sleeping bags or camp out on the floor ! I'd show you after the bedding is on but I'll prob forget so here it is....for now. Wendy. Ocean, NJ. Thu Oct 15 2026

It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. It was such a savings to put it together myself then to purchase one in a furniture store. I purchased the grey version which is a soft hazy color.. Melissa. Hubbardston, MA. Wed Jun 17 2026

Got this bed for our son. All in all it’s a very nice bed. Wanted the gray one but settled for the cream color as it is 50 cheaper. The upholstery is beautiful and soft. The bed is sturdy, i just wish the slats and the feet that supports the slats were made of metal. Take note that the maximum thickness of the twin trundle mattress is 8in anything thicker won’t fit. We got a 10inch mattress for the full bed, i think an 8 or a 12inch mattress would work fine too. It took us 2hrs to assemble it. Our son loves the bed. We took a gamble in this bed as it did not have any reviews ha! In summary We are happy for this purchase.. May. Queens, NY. Sat Jun 13 2026

I looked at many full bed/twin trundle beds and decided on this bed after reading many reviews and other sites with same style. This one is sturdy and not hard to put together. Unfortunately our twin mattress is an XL twin and was too large to put together the trundle. We just put the bed frame over the mattress on the floor and it works for us. The trundle can be pulled all the way out and move across the room if needed. We will save ours to use when we have to get a new twin mattress at another time.. Erinn. Meadows Place, TX.
