This bed is sturdy and takes a solid 4 hours for two adults to assemble. A few things to consider- if you have baseboards, there is no way to mount the bed to the wall with the brackets they give you. Since we can’t mount it to the wall, the bed wobbles a bit and does make a bit of a squeak. The hardware is not eye-appealing and not hidden. Spent the day putting this bed together for our son. The instructions were pretty easy to follow with the exception of one mistake. On step 20, it told us to attach a magnet to board R but R did not match the picture. We skipped it and were able to attach the magnet close to the end to the correct board (R3). The only other issue was that the holes for the stairs did not match the holes for the frame. They were completely off. We checked to make sure we hadn’t done something wrong, but it was just that they were drilled incorrectly by the manufacturer. We plan to attach using brackets to get that extra support. Other than those two things, the bed is very well made (good materials) and quite sturdy. My son loves it and has already used all the compartments to store his stuff! Overall the bed is nice. My son really wanted a loft type bed so we chose this one for the look and also based on the good reviews. A lot of people said it was fairly easy to put together. The directions kinda sucked and it was just annoying to put together. Everything was labeled nicely at least. The insert with the Allen type key bolt isn’t our favorite type of securing mechanism but we cut the Allen key and made a drill bit making it a lot easier. Some of the wood pieces weren’t perfect or hollowed out enough. A piece actually came damaged but Wayfair sent out a new one right away, which was much appreciated. It's too late to return, as we're not going to disassemble it and figure out how to return it, but we're very disappointed. Got this bed for my grandkids. It’s full-size which is wonderful and it is low instead of being a high loft bed. Whoever designed this bed frame clearly never had to build it themselves. While it's sturdy and looks cool, very little thought was put into the actual assembly process. They somehow expect you to put three-quarters of the frame together supported by only two legs, attach all the bed slats, and then screw in the final quarter of the frame. If it were only that, I would give it 3 stars. But several other issues made this a nightmare: half of the pieces didn't have stickers marking their numbers; some parts of the instructions were completely wrong (I had to constantly refer back to the exploded-view diagram to figure out what actually went where), and an entire set of three pieces (#38) was completely missing. (Thank God they weren't structural, but they were slats for the guard rail.) Finally, a neurotic amount of Saran wrap was used to bundle several sets of pieces together making getting any one piece a massive headache. Putting this together was actually a nightmare. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the end result seems pretty sturdy and I like the design. If you're thinking about buying this bed frame, make sure you have at least two other people to help you, and ensure at least one of you is an absolutey amazing at figuring out terrible instructions..
