This was a big pain to install! Took about 7-8 hours with about 3 of us (we had 2 kids help us so we count them as half each because they were in and out with their "help" lol). Between making sure the bars didnt turn on you and only tightening at 70% but at the end having to find all 100 of the screws to tightening them.... it was a lot. Also I know the sides come with a warning, but please please remember the low ceilings when you have the bed frame up. Adults hits their heads 3 times each before we got the memo. Ouch! However, when all was said and done, my daughter was very happy. The bed edge makes me nervous for sleep purposes, but going to look into possibly a thinner mattress. Maybe even a bed rail of sorts. The bottom loft is very roomy. Has a lot of table space and even the drawers have a lot of room to them. I didn't realize they were cloth drawers, but they are nice and fit a lot. This is a great bed. It was time-consuming to assemble but not hard or confusing. I love the stairs as opposed to a ladder because it’s much safer, and it also has the additional storage underneath the stairs. The desk is a good size and there are many outlets available for all different cords. The LED lights are really fun and they’re bright, but they do not stick very well, and I had to use almost all of the Velcro straps in order to secure the lights all around the bed. We are very happy with this loft bed. It looks beautiful, feels sturdy, and has really helped maximize the space in my daughter’s room. She now has plenty of room underneath for studying, doing her makeup, and storage. The only issue was the ladder. The steps are narrow and hard on bare feet, and the included pads would roll and didn’t provide enough cushioning. We solved this by adding foam padding around each rung and covering it with soft material. It made a huge difference and the ladder is now much more comfortable to use.
