Just built it solo. It took me a pretty long time. More than 4 hours but I wasn’t in a particular rush. It’s not too difficult or too heavy for one person. Just sort of labor intensive. It was VERY heavy upon delivery and bringing it up into my unit was hard. Definitely a team lift package but can be built alone without much issue. I ordered two chests. I liked that it is solid wood, a soft wood, but nonetheless WOOD. Assembly took a bit of time on the first one which made the assembly of the second one easier. One was perfectly fine with all the parts intact. The second one had some drawer section that were cracked. I fixed them with Gorilla glue as they don't show and are in the interior of the chest. I recently purchased the Donati 9-Drawer Dresser and wanted to share my experience for anyone considering it. First, be prepared—this is definitely a project if you’re assembling it on your own. I started putting it together around 7 PM, worked until about 2 AM, then picked it back up the next day around 1 PM and finished around 6 PM. It’s time-consuming and can feel a bit challenging at times, but I actually enjoyed the process and found it rewarding to see it come together. There were a few minor issues with some of the wood panels having small chips, but nothing too noticeable once everything was assembled. Overall, the dresser is very sturdy and feels well-made. The finished look is absolutely beautiful and makes the effort worth it. If you’re patient and don’t mind spending the time assembling it, I would definitely recommend it. Love the look and it’s real wood! The value for the cost is so good. Decent amount of work to put it together - 2.5 hrs working fast solo and I’m no stranger to assembly and used power tools for most fasteners. Looks great. Minor complaints: Smells like the stain is kind of fresh. I’d leave drawers open a while to make sure they’re fully dry before trusting them to clothes. Possibly put some liners in the drawers. I’m not sure why they stained the drawer bottoms as these seem like they might discolour clothes. I might just put some vinyl liners in them. Other minor complaint is that the cam lock nuts didn’t really work that well. They didn’t have that slight give you usually feel when they’re fully tightened so it was hard to know when to stop torquing them. Overtightened one a bit accidentally. Be careful.. Brett.
