I like this a lot and it was a nice and easy install. It comes with the lightbulb which is also really nice. The only thing that frustrated me is that the base of it is plastic. I was screwing it in and the plastic cracked. I plan to paint the post so I will try to cover the crack with paint also but when that happens with a new light you are just frustrated. The one I had replaced had a metal base and it made me question if I was going down in quality.. Kate. Bloomsburg, PA. Thu Oct 08 2026

Lovely lantern!! It looks great on our front porch. We recently bought a fixer upper, so please ignore where we filled in nail holes but haven't painted yet. I needed to camouflage my large concrete septic tank lid which sits below a portion of deck. It puts out tremendous light. I bought the 71” version but it swayed waaay too much. Two great lights next to my garage door. Install was easy. The only difficulty was that they didn't hang evenly from the exterior wall when mounted. I utilized magnetic tape along the inside edge of the mount to bring it out so they would hang straight. Hopefully this will stay! Also, unsure if the mounting bracket should have caulking around it to prevent water leakage. Your size guidance chart was very helpful in deciding on the length and width!
