It’s very sturdy, I’ve had it for almost three years and it is so stable even with two “kittens” who are now over a year old (and very hardy eaters) chasing each other up and down it. I have no concerns about it falling over at all. The best part is NO CARPET! I hate carpet on cat trees, it gets so gross and I always ended up throwing them away after a year! The directions were difficult to follow. Yes you can look at the pictures and figure it out, and I did. They enclosed gloves, which was a ice touch, because they must have known the difficulty in getting the wood spindles in the holes. I had to hit them with a hammer to get them in and then screw in with Allen wrench. However, once assembles, the product is study, pillows are soft and Velcro is there to keep them in place.
