We bought this for our 7-year-old daughter, and so far it’s been great. I’m giving it four stars because it’s not perfect. I’m not entirely sure what “noise free” in the title is referring to, since it does make some noise — which is understandable — but it’s not completely silent. That said, I would still recommend it. The height is ideal — not overly tall like the one we purchased from another site for our 11-year-old son. This one allows me to stand relatively close to my daughter while she’s lying down, and it’s not so close to the ceiling that she can’t sit up without hitting her head (we have 9ish-foot ceilings). I had specifically put in notes to deliver to the back door and all four very large heavy packages were delivered to the front. This bed is really cool. I definitely should have measured beforehand. I thought my ceilings and room would for sure be high enough, but I’ll for sure have to get a new light fixture bc the fan is right on top of the bed. This loft bed was exactly what we were looking for. My husband put it together in 3 hours; pretty simple instructions. One thing I wanted to note!: This bed can be built with the stairs on EITHER SIDE. We were so confused looking at the photos trying to figure out which side the stairs were on, but it comes with two sets of instructions, one for each side, so that worked out perfectly. We added some support to the wall because it does shake a bit if you're up on the bed. You do need to get a 6 inch mattress or else the safety bars won't reach above the mattress. Over the course of 3 days we invested about 22 hours, and we are pretty handy as far as assembling things go. Several things weren’t lined up properly. Pieces were warped. One piece cracked. Nails and screws weren’t all labeled. For the price I expected much more. It looks nice once assembled, but cost me my sanity. Spent the day putting this bed together for our son. The instructions were pretty easy to follow with the exception of one mistake. On step 20, it told us to attach a magnet to board R but R did not match the picture. We skipped it and were able to attach the magnet close to the end to the correct board (R3). The only other issue was that the holes for the stairs did not match the holes for the frame. They were completely off. We checked to make sure we hadn’t done something wrong, but it was just that they were drilled incorrectly by the manufacturer. We plan to attach using brackets to get that extra support. Other than those two things, the bed is very well made (good materials) and quite sturdy. My son loves it and has already used all the compartments to store his stuff! Overall the bed is nice. My son really wanted a loft type bed so we chose this one for the look and also based on the good reviews. A lot of people said it was fairly easy to put together. The directions kinda sucked and it was just annoying to put together. Everything was labeled nicely at least. The insert with the Allen type key bolt isn’t our favorite type of securing mechanism but we cut the Allen key and made a drill bit making it a lot easier. Some of the wood pieces weren’t perfect or hollowed out enough. A piece actually came damaged but Wayfair sent out a new one right away, which was much appreciated. It doesn’t feel like the most solid structure. It’s fine to be sleeping on but I did warn my 4 year old not to be jumping or hanging on it. Time will tell how it holds up.. Gina. Ny, NY.
