This is pretty easy to assemble but you absolutely need a helping hand towards the end to help flip the cabinet right side up. It perfect and functional for a small space. I've been meaning to write a review for awhile but just haven't gotten around to it. First I'll say what I love about this piece - the storage is great! I'm using this as a coffee station and it works perfectly for that. The pull out rack works well for our regular and travel mugs. The left side cabinet works well for holding coffee filters, bagged coffee and lots of extras. I used the center cabinet for all of our oversized water bottles that I never had a place for. Now for the negatives. I'll start by saying I was hesitant at first to buy this because there were no reviews. But the size was perfect and the storage options were what I was looking for so I took a chance. The assembly instructions were atrocious. Several things were mislabeled in the instructions when compared to the labels on the actual parts. There were a couple small areas that had some damage despite being packed very well. However they were on the inside of the cabinet so I didn't bother asking for replacement pieces. On the left side of the cabinet they have you assemble it so the cam locks are visible which is not attractive at all. I luckily caught it and flipped the shelves so they were on the bottom side and not visible. If you have common sense, you'll be able to build it even with the errors in the instructions. The veneer on the desktop came with dark, greasy fingerprints and chips missing around the edges. The instructions that were included did not match in any way, shape or form, the product in the box. The part list did not have all of the parts. The assembly pictographs were unclear, and most of them did not match the parts that I eventually used. Many of the metal fasteners stripped while I tightened them, despite using a hand screw driver and many years experience in carpentery. The copious amount of extra hardware included indicates they have a generic package of hardware that they ship, but many of the components still do not match what is in the instructions. So it's definitely my recommendation to hire a professional to put it together to save you time and to ensure the product is assembled properly with anchoring to the wall for security. I must say it came together beautifully and will fit our needs for additional modern style storage and sleep space when we have overnight guests. The material is somewhat sturdy manufactured wood which is only noticeable up close. The frame will definitely only fit a 10 inch mattress or less. We tried a 12 in and the main door will not close. As many have mentioned, it would have been great to have shelves inside the cabinet but if you're handy you can easily install some for more storage. I have been shopping around for a quality Murphy bed for quite some time and almost bought a $4000 model but I'm glad I was able to save once I found this one for a fraction of the cost.
