I’m so surprised at how much I love these chairs. I didn’t expect them to be so incredibly comfortable! I bought two and they add a beautiful pop of yellow to our family room. My husband was doubtful but he can’t stay off of them now. -) The electrical mechanism works well so far. You must lower the reclining mechanism to get out of them or the entire chair moves forward with you (so not super stable if used in that way), but just don’t rush and take the time to lower it to get out and you’ll be fine.. This recliner is activated by merely pushing on the arms of the reclining chair and it will simultaneously activate both the footrest and chair-back into a TV or reading position. Further pressure applied to the arms will move the chair into a fully reclined position.

Beautiful chair, beautifully made, expensive but worth it. So comfortable, the cushions are firm and supportive, and the fabric is sturdy with a lovely texture. The recliner mechanism is smooth and adjustable to where you want it. I got the wall hugger one which is great for my space. I was not happy with customer service, five stars for the chair but two stars for customer service. They very reluctantly responded to my request for brass nailheads instead of silver ones, I had to press for it- initially I was told they wouldn’t do that. A chair, especially one so expensive, that is made to order should be customizable. Are you listening, Perigold? There are other furniture sites and stores that sell it and they are willing to order as requested. All it takes is contacting the manufacturer. But I’m very happy with my chair.. Anne. Just got this recliner to replace the one I bought from WAYFAIR a few years ago. I had used it for hours on a daily basis so the springs slowly had lost their support.
