There is no way to directly control the light andor fan function directly through a wall switch. You are only able to turn on and off via the remote, which makes this feel incredibly cheap and inconvenient for a guest who may not know how to use the remote. Has great features I was looking for – a timer for the fan, a dimmable light, humidity sensor. My kids love the rainbow light, but I think it’s unnecessary. Plastic feels a bit cheap and I am crossing my fingers that my contractor can figure out why the fan is suddenly quite loud when it wasn’t for the first 24 Hours.
