To measure your size correctly, remove the existing vent cover and measure the size of the duct. The duct opening size is what should be ordered. The Ribbon grille is a resin (polyurethane) decorative vent cover that is light in weight yet sturdy and strong. Grilles are unfinished and ready for you to primer and paint to achieve the perfect color for your setting. Each grille is made using a casting process that allows for a three-dimensional look. Grilles will not rust and are not prone to corrosion which makes them excellent for high-humidity areas and dry areas alike. Ribbon grilles are flat on the back and have no inserts. Grilles should not be used on the floor and are only for wall and ceiling applications for central air conditioning and heating systems. Due to the nature of the curing process, grilles can vary very slightly in size so please take the measurements as an approximate size. All grilles should be installed using the provided screws to ensure a safe application. Please note, that these grilles are intended to be primed/painted and will come in an off-white beige color.

Each CleanVent is manufactured in the USA out of .040 5052-H32 aluminum, (not plastic). The CleanVent and defusing screen are powder-coated in gloss white and can be painted. The Inner air flow tabs are .040 stainless steel and can be positioned in any direction. Please note the CleanVent sizes are for inside vent measurements, the overall size of the CleanVent is 1-1/2 inches bigger on all 4 sides for the frame around the vent opening. Example a 6 x 6 vent overall size is 9 x 9, which gives plenty of room for covering up ceiling stains and crooked installed vents.

This vent cover looks really nice in my newly renovated bathroom. It is quite stylish and complements the other gold fixtures in the room. My reason for only rating it 4 stars is that it was missing the vent mounting clips and instructions when it arrived. While Wayfair sent the clips several days later, I feel it never should have been sent without them.
