This is great. I was looking for a permanent solution to keep the dog from the front door and a way to separate the dogs from my niece when she visits. This is perfect fix. This is a sturdy barrier, that will help contain your pups in the cargo compartment of your SUV. It is easily assembled, and is pretty quiet during travel. Be sure to measure your cargo compartment to ensure proper sizing. I am convinced a determined dog can get through almost any barrier, but at least this one provides a solid deterrant for pups that are casually considering becoming co-pilots. The main issue with this, and most barriers, is that when assembled at the proper height (our cargo area height is 41”) there is a large (16” in our case) open space at the bottom of the barrier that could easily allow a mid-sized dog to get under the barrier. So if you have a smaller dog, you’ll have to come up with a way to block off that bottom gap to ensure your pup stays where you intend for it to stay.
