We totally love the new hallway doors! They have replaced 1980s louver doors and make the entry now feel so contemporary and up-to-date. Yes, we relied on our local contractor to install them, as they needed to be trimmed to fit the existing height requirement. The cost of the doors and labor together were well-worth it, though -- our contractor is sending a picture of the doors to other clients, as they are sure to be a popular replacement in our condo community. :). Love love love these doors. Used them between the master bedroom and master bath. They look great and the frosted glass lets in some light while providing privacy. It was a bit of work for our contractor to set the hardware as the doors are are not prepped for that but we knew that from previous reviews Even with that our local building supply store wanted 3000 for a “custom” door of this design. The door looks nice and works well overall. One thing to note if you’re installing it in a frame with a traditional door stop built into the jamb, it may have trouble closing properly. Installation wasn’t too difficult, but make sure to read the instructions thoroughly before starting. The colour of the doors is "dirty" white and I don't think you can paint these doors - so unfortunately they don't match the trim and baseboards. The doors themselves run on the thin side - I wish they were more solid. The track is visible even with custom trim, they don't quite look like the photo. These doors are the perfect addition to my dining room rehab! The frosted glass is great for privacy and the doors are sturdy. You'll have to do a little carpentry if you want to counter sink the hinges or add working locks but for the price comparison to doors with the hardware pre-installed, the extra manual labor was worth it. The doors are beautiful and just what I wanted. The instructions and missing parts were disappointing. Thankfully the missing parts were not key to actually installing the doors. Handyman was able to work through the instructions. Hoping missing parts come from manufacturer soon so that we can finish off the final installation. I am not sure how the center stopper will work if we actually get them but black zip ties are working for now as a center stopper.
