The doors themselves are beautiful, but these are not for the DIY person to handle....they didn't come with pre-drilled holes for the hardware to be installed in, nor was there a track milled out of the bottom of each door so that they could slide on the floor hardware (rather than swing in and out when they move). Exactly what I was looking for. It’s heavy and well made yet easy to slide the door back and forth. Due to spacing of studs in our older home, we added a brace between studs to support the rail. Ok, it took almost 3 months for us to get this precious door delivered. And took some precise measurements and planning to put everything together! We opted out the head board, instead we drill holes on the track to line up with the studs and use the recommended spacers to bring the door forward to avoid the trim, and it looks fantastic! We havent had a chance to install yet. Doors arrived as stated and were packed in heavy wooden crates. I have no doubts that they will be lovely when installed. I plan on using them on the opening between our bathroom and bedroom. Update... we finally installed our doors. We are loving the privacy that they give. We didnt realize until after we had placed the board on the wall that the track can be cut and that the weight on the end of the track serves as a door stop. We ordered additional pieces to serve as the door stops. They are easy to open and close without the handles but keep in mind that if you put them in a heavy trafficked area you will more than likely have to wipe them down quite often.
