I’m super impressed with this sliding closet door kit. It arrived well packaged and was easy to unpack, without a lot of extra materials, and even though the instructions weren’t fantastic, they were easy enough to follow just looking at the parts and intuitively figuring out where everything needed to go. It took my husband and I about an hour and a half to install it, but that was because our opening was not exactly the same size as the doors and the track. I had to cut an inch off of each side of the track and an about a third of an inch off the bottom of each door to make them fit, but that was no problem. It was pretty easy to do, so even though it says that the doors are not trimmable we were able to get about a third of an inch off as the frame is a pine frame so as long as you don’t try to take too much off it seemed workable for us. I was ripped off! I spent $1,200.00 on a pair of by-pass closet doors advertised as solid wood. I hired a carpenter to install them and found out they were actually cheap hollow core doors filled with cardboard!
