I received my farmhouse size Murphy bed with lights and charging station on the date stated when I placed my order. The directions were could have had better pictures as we found ourselves guessing on a few occasions and had to stop and redo steps on one occasion. The Murphy bed took two people a few hours to assemble and I love it! The online pictures do not do justice as it looks so much nicer in person. I love the shelf and LED lights and how easy it is to set up and tear down. Im on oxygen 24 hours a day and have very little strength and yet Im able to pull the bed down myself. Transform your living space with the Murphy Cabinet Bed, a smart furniture solution designed for modern homes. This multifunctional piece looks like a stylish cabinet during the day and quickly converts into a comfortable Full-size guest bed whenever needed. Designed for small apartments, home offices, and guest rooms, this space-saving bed helps maximize your available space without sacrificing comfort or style.

Did take a while to put together, but was able to do it by myself. Got this for a guest bed in the office that only gets used sporadically. For a mattress we are using a Sleep Number C4 bed we just upgraded from in the bedroom. This cabinet was perfect as it had the solid base a Sleep Number requires and the entire bed, mattress pad, pillows, and comforter ALL fit inside the cabinet and drawer. I did have to drill a small hole in the bed base near the head off the bed for the air tube and another in the back board to plug in the air pump, but both are in places not visible with the bed open or closed. We contemplated a traditional Murphy bed, but they seem to need the weight of a mattress to help hold them open? And they lacked storage space for all the other bedding to make up the bed. Since storage space is always in short supply, this bed seemed a better fit for our needs. I only gave 4 stars for some minor gripes. First are the stickers used to cover the cam locks. Wow is that cheesy. Most furniture I have put together using cam locks have a plastic disc that goes into the cam lock hole. However, the only place these are visible are the inside of the headboard when the bed is open. I would have appreciated plastic caps for this area vs the stickers. My only other complaint is about the cam locks themselves. Other furniture I have put together (including the glass door cabinet next to the bed chest in the photo) had a stop so you can't insert the screwdriver too far and potentially run into the cam lock pin when turning the cam lock. I am not sure if this is what kept happening, but I did have a few cam locks where I just could not get them to turn as far as they should have. Will call this one user error, but with a properly designed cam lock this isn't an issue. Like I said, pretty minor, and overall very pleased with the bed for what we needed. It is also really easy to open and set up as I had to do that half a dozen times or so figuring out how to get the Sleep Number air pump connected and the holes drilled.. Cheran. Lakeview, OR. Great bed, but be patient while assembling. Take your time. Youll definitely need more than 1 person. Another reviewer said to make sure you assemble in the room you want the bed... he was right. The packages arrived beat up. Thankfully there was no damage. Regarding the bed itself, the horizontal opening seems safereasier to open for a shorter person. The only challenge is stopping midway down to unfold the feet. I also wish there were more than 5 slats under the mattress. We added a few more, ourselves. Just to make sure it had more support. Otherwise no complaints.. Barbara. New York, NY. Sun Sep 13 2026

I have been looking on marketplace for a used Murphy breed for over a year now and then I came across this one and it was comparable in price to the used ones I had been looking at. I hesitated getting a used one because I would need to borrow w truck and then get help moving it, its used, may not be in the best condition, etc. But this one was delivered directly to my house, I did need help moving it inside but the separate boxes made it manageable and my 8 year old loves it! She thinks its the coolest thing to be able to close her bed up although I dont think we are going to do it often as a single mom in a budget I was looking to buy something that can work for a guest bedroomplayroom down the road. The boxes were heavy but everything was packaged well. I didnt have any trouble putting it together but did lay everything out and laid close attention to the directions so I didnt have to do it twice. I think this path of buying online was a better cover for my situation and worth the great price i feel good about my investmentss and my daughter thinks she has the coolest room EVER!. Laura. Overall a beautiful and functional Murphy bed. Came well packaged in 2, heavy, boxes. As other reviews have stated, it takes a considerable amount of time to assemble, it took me a little over 3 hours. There were a couple steps that were a bit confusing and I had to go back and switch things around but for the most part, pretty good instructions overall. My only complaint is the bolts for the handles and knobs were just barely long enough, the first one I accidentally over tightened and it broke. Exercise extreme caution with the knobshandles. But, I am very pleased overall and would totally buy it again!. Valerie. Cincinnati, Ohio. Fri Jan 09 2026

The Instructions Were Clear. That Was the Last Thing That Was. I want to be fair to the manual. It was clear, well illustrated, and I followed it without much trouble. I am reasonably handy. The listing says "Easy to Assemble" and "all necessary tools," and I would like to report that this is true if you also consider a hardware store to be one of the tools. Four trips. Not four trips over the life of the product. Four trips during assembly. The bed worked beautifully for one night. On the second night one of the support legs left the building. I don't know how. A guest may have kicked it. What I do know is that I came out in the morning to find a full-size cabinet lying at about thirty degrees, with the screws pulled clean out of the piece that anchors the spring-loaded tension mechanism. The listing describes this mechanism as a "smooth hydraulic lift system for effortless opening and closing, providing a safe and user-friendly experience for all ages." I would like to submit some field data. Two adult men pushing on it accomplished nothing. What accomplished something was a ratchet strap. Once the bed was hanging in the air on a strap I bought for hauling firewood, I tried to reinstall the screws with a 90-degree screwdriver purchased specifically for this occasion. It did not fit. Nothing fits back there. Trip four was for bolts. There was a stretch where I had my hand inside a loaded spring assembly held in place by nylon webbing, doing the math on which finger I could most afford to lose. What finally worked was disassembling the folding half of the bed and removing it entirely, which is to say I took the bed out of the bed in order to reinstall the part that holds the bed up. My teenager went out and dug the steel shipping straps out of the trash, and those went back on to cage the springs while we worked, which is apparently their real job and which is why they should not be the first thing a customer throws away. When it came time to release the ratchet, I did it from across the room with a very long screwdriver, on the theory that the screwdriver had fewer nerve endings. We also cut two pieces from our scrap pile to shim the bottom rails, which arrived misaligned. Here is the current situation: the bed aligns fine at both edges and bows out roughly half an inch in the middle, where it catches the lower board and shoves it outward every time we try to close it. Photo attached, since it doesn't sound like much until you see it. The practical result is that we own a Murphy bed we cannot fold. It is a bed. It has always been a bed. It will be a bed forever. "Maximize space and style." We have maximized neither. The LED light does have seven colors, and it works.. Todd. Auburn, CA. Sun Sep 06 2026

Now that I have it nearly assembled, I can say that it is attractive and seems to be well made. However, it has taken more than 20 hours to assemble and we're not quite done yet. Definitely requires two people! Two minor hardware parts were not included but fortunately I found alternatives at my local hardware store. The instructions require a magnifying glass to see the diagrams in some cases. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't bother with a Murphy bed - the space saving is not worth the trouble.. Martha. Its beautiful and sturdy. Took us the day to put together. As others have said, super important to organize everything and read the instructions a couple times before you het started. One tip: put your knobs on at the beginning. We had to reattach pieces twice because of the knobs. Since the mattress did not come with ours, we purchase one from another seller. We set it all up and it was super comfortable and sturdy. Even our dog joined us. Quality product to make the most of the space. Recommend it.. Angela. Tampa, FL. Fri Jun 19 2026
