This has been a terrible bed frame, my mattress no matter how thin made my bed extremely high. There is a ugly skirt that hid the frame corners and has become hazardous, everyone hits there chins on it, I now removed that bottom frame and am using the back board free standing, you should probably warn people that your bed will be 4 ft above the floor. It is a very pretty and sturdy bedframe. I took a star off because they were not pre-drilled holes for some screws and that was unclear in the directions. It took me one hour and and and 45 minutes to put it together as one person. Also two of the side pieces were the same so I had to unscrew the brackets and switch them so they would become opposite side frames.
