Got this bed for our son. All in all it’s a very nice bed. Wanted the gray one but settled for the cream color as it is 50 cheaper. The upholstery is beautiful and soft. The bed is sturdy, i just wish the slats and the feet that supports the slats were made of metal. Take note that the maximum thickness of the twin trundle mattress is 8in anything thicker won’t fit. We got a 10inch mattress for the full bed, i think an 8 or a 12inch mattress would work fine too. It took us 2hrs to assemble it. Our son loves the bed. Beautiful Bed for My Daughter’s Room – Looks More Expensive Than It Is I purchased the Mercer41 Arden full-size velvet bed with the twin trundle for my daughter’s room and we absolutely love it. The bed looks so elegant in person and instantly made the room feel more cozy and put together. The velvet fabric feels soft and high-end, and the color was very true to the pictures online. Assembly took us around [insert time] with two people, and the instructions were actually pretty easy to follow. Once everything was together, the frame felt sturdy and secure with no wobbling or squeaking. One of my favorite features is the trundle. We had a problem with one piece being broken but Wayfair and the maker of the bed sent a replacement. We only waited a few days. The bed is very nice. My only problem with the bed is that it says to buy a 8” or 12” mattress for the trundle. We purchased the 8” and we are unable to push the trundle back under the bed. Beautiful, but it was incredibly difficult to assemble. I know a lot of people said it was easy, but as a young woman, I just didn't have the strength in my thumbs to insert all the tiny plastic pieces without it being excruciatingly painful in the end. I'm not saying that to scare you - just know what if you don't have strong hands, it can hurt. I was in tears in the end. I'd recommend getting someone to help you. Additionally, the long metal bar that's wedged into the headboard was not fitting and I had no idea why. I finally had to use a mallet to pound it into place. It's probably the hardest thing I've personally ever assembled due to the pain-factor. Once the bed was done, it was very solid and high-quality. It works perfectly fine as a twin-size day bed. If you're making it a king size, I'd recommend getting a twin-to-king mattress converter. That eliminates the painful gap in the middle. For extra comfort you can add a king-size mattress topper, but I didn't do that due to lack of storage space (if I had the space I wouldn't need the trundle bed). It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed.
