All pieces arrived in great condition, individually packaged well. Boxes were a bit heavy but manageable. All screws and parts are here, extra screws included. Took me 30-45 min to assemble. Very slight smell out of package but that should go away. Frame is steel on both sides, with an extra support leg in the middle - i ordered this model because reviews of similar cheaper daybeds with no middle support had cracked in the centre. Legs are plastic but seem fine. Wood slats are sturdy, not thin. The grey upholstery is textured with flecks of dark and light grey, not a solid grey colour. I wish it came in black, but this grey is fine too, and the overall look is modern with clean lines. Confirming the back is not upholstery as other reviews have mentioned, so this day bed has to go against a wall. I needed a bed frame fast to accommodate my daughter visiting with her new born. The frame was delivered as expected. It was easy to put together, considering I am assemble challenged lol. I put it together without help. As a new mom my daughter was in and out of bed often and said it was sturdy. We bought 2. They were a long assembly. They are nice though. Seem to be good quality. The drawers hold quite a bit and there’s plenty of open storage behind the drawers. Very sturdy bed with nice craftsmanship/materials. Paint was fine for the grey. Drawers are made of nice thick material. Not the cheap cardboard backing. The bed comes with 10 cross beams to support the mattress, but I added a few more from the bed I replaced. Didn't really need it, but just made a sturdy bed that much more. Be sure to add a drop of wood glue to the wood inserts, really helps over the long haul. Assembly too about 3-4 hours. Color is just right and matches our pine furnishings. Bed went togather well. It looks good from a distance. Up close the finger joints do show under the lighter tone of the stain and finish. But overall this piece looks good. It is only 74 inches long and many twin mattresses are listed as 75 inches long. Also the standard 39 inch wide mattress will overhang about 3 inches. I used a 10 inch thick mattress and am sorry. The bed is quite high and not useful as a couch now. The limitations may not be as clear in online info as they could be.
