This trash can is very nice! It is exactly what I was looking for and at the right price. These touchless trash cans can be very expensive. Nine Stars is a brand I trust and have used in the past. You can not beat the price for the quality and size. The only thing I wish is that the power button was on the back of the lid versus underneath it. I wonder why I lived so long with an unfunctional, sloppy plastic kitchen trash can whose step-open function had broken within months of purchase. THIS TRASH CAN IS GREAT. It is heavy enough not to move around, neat and efficient. It has a plastic insert which can be removed for cleaning. The step function with soft-close is a great feature. Just received this trash bin, so I can only share my first impressions. I purchased the 16 gallon size, which is very large but it's still a pretty compact trash bin. I like it a lot. It arrived well packaged with no damage, it's nice looking and works very well and I think it is a good value for less than $100. It actually might work a little too well, sometimes the top opens up just from my walking by a little too close. But that's not really a problem. It is nearly silent and I like the butterfly opening a lot. I can't speak about durability since I just got it. But based on first impression, I absolutely recommend purchasing this trash bin.. Gene.
