I purchased this waste bin for it's great look and double compartment capability. It is of good quality and wasn't too difficult to assemble. I will primarily be using this indoors for a kitchen and wish it had a mechanism for self opening and keeping the lid open. I may try to improve the functionality of the lid through modification. Very impressed by the design of this trash can. It doesn’t have one of those unnecessary inner liners most cans seem to have, which is a huge plus for me. If a bag leaks with this one all you have to do is take off the top containing the opening mechanism and rinse out the bottom before replacing the top. Simple. It’s all made of some pretty thick plastic, so it feels quite substantial and solid. The opening mechanism works perfectly but, of course, the true test is how long it lasts. We’ll see. I also wanted it to be made of plastic because the stainless steel models are so easy to dent, and then what can you do? No worries here.
