Brabantia’s NewIcon Pedal Bin (8 gallon) is even more iconic with its warm-toned metallic coating and stylish stainless steel pedal. This stylish bin adds a sense of luxury to any room, standing strong thanks its non-slip base and anti-tilting block. Its unique soft-closure feature ensures a smooth closure too. And of course the NewIcon is easy to open, odour-proof, hygienic, and easy to keep clean. 8 gallons of timeless design.

I searched carefully for a trashcan that would both look good in the kitchen and be the right size for a small household (1- 2 people). This one is perfect. I chose platinum because I didn’t want it to be too shiny. It’s tall enough (26 inches) to hold a 13 gal., tall kitchen trash bag, but narrow enough (11.5 inch diameter) that I can still open my cabinets. (See photos.) The capacity is only 8 gallons, but if the bag has a drawstring, it’s easy to make a 13-gal. gal bag fit well. It comes with three 8-gal. bags, but I like to use bigger bags so that I can add other trash to it before I take it out.. Dee. IL. Thu Jul 02 2026

Great quality but I will say it is darker blue in person and solid in color whereas the photo on the description makes it appear more like a denim blue color with variations of darker and lighter shades of blue but in person its solid navy blue leather.
