I have never owned a duvet, always just comforters. This is wonderfully soft and pretty light weight but kept me comfortable all night. I wasn’t too hot or too cold…just right. The duvet cover I bought had ties for the top bottom and sides, but the insert only has loops on the corners. Being a king size I wish it had more loops but as of right now it has worked nicely.. This comforter exceeded my expectations! The comforter is really soft and a good amount of fill in each baffle box. I washed the comforter as it arrives in a small box compressed. After washing and drying it had a smell that needed to be aired out to get rid of. The smell goes away once aired out. The comforter is on the warmer side. Very nice comforter. Soft and fluffy. Sleeps great. Not too hot or cold. So far no feathers or fibers have leaked which is very good. I really like that the cover is 100 precent cotton and that it is also very soft. No loud crinkling noise like some of my other duvets. Haven't tried washing it yet but have only put it in the dryer on low to fluff it up upon arrival. Great detail with the pippiing on the edges and the loops for the ties on the duvet cover.. Wally.
