The ductless installation is very difficult to figure out. I believe that there should be a "blank" to close off the exhaust duct in the top of the range hood. I communicated with Streamline but found it difficult becuase of their slow response time.....more than 24 hours on one occasion....and more than 72 hours on another, when I gave up and asked for directions on how to return the hood. I have yet to hear back from them on how to return this hood.. Robert. Ravenel, SC. Sun Oct 18 2026

The WM-540 Wall Mount range hood features a stunning contemporary design with professional quality performance. The stainless steel finish is always in style and easy to match to any aesthetic as well as other kitchen appliances. The professional grade baffle filters have full-size handles, making it easy to remove them and place them into the dishwasher for simple, effective cleaning. The high CFM power whisks away fumes, toxins, and smoke while the deep grooves in the baffle filters trap grease before it has a chance to fall on your food, stovetop, counters, or cabinets. Its low-noise performance means you can have a conversation, listen to music, or just enjoy some peace and quiet while it’s in operation. No ducts? No problem. Simply convert the wall-mount range hood to ductless by purchasing charcoal filters (sold separately).

The ducted range hood delivers up to 1200 CFM of airflow across 4 fan speeds, with gesture sensing and touch controls for convenient operation. Two LED lights illuminate the cooktop, while removable stainless steel baffle filters help capture airborne grease. The backsplash installs behind the range to help protect the wall from everyday grease, sauce and cooking splatters. The range hood measures 29.5 inches wide. Confirm all cabinet, duct, backsplash and cooktop-clearance measurements before ordering.

I am writing this review before the backsplash can be installed. The backsplash is thin stainless. There are no screws included, hence the 4 stars instead of 5..I am actually not planning to use this as a backsplash, but as means for attaching magnetic spice containers to the side of a refrigerator cabinet panel.. I will post a picture when it is installed with spice containers attached. It did arrive quickly.. Adrienne. Hillsborough, NC. Mon Aug 10 2026
