I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. It came with nice paper templates that showed you exactly where to mount and drill. Me and a friend installed it in 45 minutes. Works great. No fluff solid ge appliance. I’m happy. James. Product is what we needed as the kitchenette required a smaller microwave. Product arrived damaged but nothing would have indicated damage looking at packaging. The damaged parts (dents on both sides) were easily concealed when installed but that was also a bit of a hassle. My husband is an electrician & has hung quite a few microwaves, yet he wasn't a fan of the install. We tested after install, it works & no issues with the unit at the moment (not being used as we aren't moved in at the moment). We did contact Wayfair about issues, they contacted Danby on my behalf & Danby contacted me the next day. I've had my new microwave for three weeks. So far I love it. Easy to use. Food is heated as I needed. Used the potato button yesterday and it was great. This is my second GE microwave. My first just died one day after 14 years. My appliance company recommended this model and it was on sale, so even better. I recommend dealing with a local appliance store as they kept records my previous purchases and knew what would fit in my kitchen. Their prices were better than the big box stores. Replaced 12 year old GE convection that kept blowing cooktop bulbs. Simple install, similar controls as my older version, sans convection that I don’t think I ever used. We followed the instructions to install, and then figure out that it would have fit exactly into the old frame, so wasted about an hour removing the old wall connections…. Great having a dial to easily add seconds, or can just hit 30 second button a few times. LOVE the pull out vent that covers the entire cook surface! A two-speed exhaust fan, which begins automatically, assures a smoke and odor-free environment. Two LED lights offer efficient illumination for your cooking surface, while the child lock feature helps prevent unsupervised use by children for added safety. Eco mode disables the display, outside lamp, and exhaust fan for power-saving convenience; it is automatically turned on after one minute of inactivity or can be manually turned on or off by the user. We include a mounting plate, an exhaust adapter for top or rear-venting, and the hardware required for installation, along with an installation booklet and a top cabinet and rear wall template. Note: This unit features a top-vented system that must be clear for adequate ventilation. The depth from the rear to the vented area is 17".
