I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. The cooktop works great, but I wanted induction. When I searched products by using the filters, this electric one was in the list. My fault for not double checking before I bought. The electric cooktop works great and heats food very quickly, but the surface is extremely hot, which is dangerously close to where my grandchildren sit at the counter. You will love the multiple sizes you can choose for the size pot or pan. It boils water fairly quickly. I like that you have to long press the buttons to turn on the elements so children wouldn’t accidentally turn on an element. We cook A LOT, and we're a longtime Bosch family, and even though it's taking some getting used to cooking on induction vs. open flame, in general we're loving this appliance because it fits our limited available space, it's very intuitive to use, and it's super-easy to clean! On "con" = we find we're having to be extra-careful not to drag heavy pots across the cooktop (as we'd gotten used to doing on the very rugged cast iron grate of our gas cooktop at home) - this induction cooktop surface definitely feels more "delicate" than our gas cooktop grate. I ordered this to have another hob for when preparing larger meals and entertaining. Sadly, the description was not very clear that it was induction and required induction compatible cookware. This has since been added. I did not have compatible cookware, which was an excuse to buy a new set. Never having used induction before, I did not know what to expect. It is going to take some trial and error to use the temperature setting, but I have to say it steeped a pot of tea in five minutes! From the photo you can see in five minutes the temperature was over 160 degrees. The fan is not too loud, but something to note if you have never used an induction plate before. The instruction manual is basic, so I will have to play around with this to learn all of its features. With that being said, I think I will really like this hob!
