It has a clean, modern look, but what I've appreciated most is how well it performs during everyday cooking. The cooktop heats quickly and gives me plenty of space to use multiple pots and pans without feeling crowded. The illuminated knobs are a thoughtful feature because it's easy to tell when a burner is on at a glance. I've also enjoyed using the SmartThings app, which lets me monitor the oven remotely and sends helpful notifications when preheating is complete or cooking is finished. I LOVE our new GE induction range. I have to admit, I was pretty uncertain about how I would feel about the change. The thing that bothered me the most was that my favorite skillet would no longer work well on the induction range. My husband purchased a beautiful cast iron skillet that I now love just as much. The range itself really does heat instantly. It can boil tap water in about a minute -- crazy! It is as easy to control as a gas range. The only down side of the range is on one side there are two burners that can be tethered together and operated together for a large pan - think rectangular pancake skillet. This feature is dumb because while the range top has markings indicating there would be even heating on the entire side of the range, including between the burners, that does not happen and you just have two separate hot spots on one large pan. I don't know why they did this. As to the oven, it is spacious -- you could definitely do a turkey. One of the racks pulls out of the oven, which is great. This means when you are doing something heavy or something you need to baste frequently, you don't have to lift it out of the oven -- you just pull out the rack. I like all of the features including the air frier. I should note that this is difficult to initially set up because the air frier will only work via an app on your phone. This means you need to set it up with wifi and that was pretty complicated. Once done, it's done forever (I hope!). The oven does not heat instantly like the range or like a gas range, but it also does not take as long as our old range. I feel like it takes about 12 - 13 minutes to heat up to 450, for example. The heat is even. I haven't used the self cleaning feature, but am glad it exists. I am also pleased with the storage drawer under the oven. It is large and easy to pull out.. Mary In Nor Cal. I especially appreciate the largest "power" burner (front right) for getting things boiling so quickly! The oven is spacious and preheats quicker than my previous gas oven. I haven't used the air fry oven feature yet, but I am looking forward to using it in the near future and possibly getting rid of my counter top air fryer and getting back more counter space. The stove top is very streamlined. These stove top grates will fit in my dishwasher, saving me from hand washing them. Once it was installed, I connected the range to the SmartThings app. The app was able to connect the range right away thru my wifi. And once connected, It automatically set the time for me. The app is a great feature when you want to control the temperature, cooking modes, oven light and sounds from your phone. You can even have it sent notifications when the cooktop elements are on. However, your phone may ping often if you do a lot of cooking on the stove top. Also, what I really like about this range, is the precision knobs. My husband and I like the use of knobs for stove top cooking. And I definitely enjoy the air fry feature, which by the way came with a free basket for air frying. Also, with a convection oven such as this, baking would be faster and even. Also, the range uses circulated air when you’re roasting to cook the meat evenly. You can’t go wrong with this range.. It's beautiful. I'm new to induction, so it's weird, so far, but I think that's about induction technology, not this stove. One super tiny complaint is the screws they give to put the black metal backsplash on are silver, so if your stove is in an island & you see the back of your stove, the screws stand out & look cheap. Love this stove! I have wanted a gas stove for a while now. We got this and had the gas line hooked up. I love the way it looks in my kitchen. The burners look great and it has 5 of them. The one on the front right is a double burner. The middle one can be used with a griddle but you will have to buy that separately. The oven heats up very fast and I love the one rack that extends out so you don't have to pull the rack out to check your food. You can do it right there. It cooks very evenly and I have had no problems. To set the oven temp you use one of the nobs, this is different for me and will take some getting used to but not terrible, just different. There are a couple of interesting things about this range I wish I knew before ordering. I will say this range does look really great if you can work around the weird issues. 1) this range is not normal counter depth, which means there will either be a gap in the back, or you will have to have this pushed further in than your cabinets (which I think looks strange). I’m sure this information is in the specs, but it was something I overlooked (that’s on me. I was only looking at the specific width I needed). 2) there is no space underneath the range for your 220V outlet. Our old range had ample space, so I didn’t think we’d have an issue but we did. The only work around we figured out was to remove this massive granite block attached to the range that acts as a weight. Something I thought was very strange. Lol 3) This range does not come with a power cord. We were able to use our old one, but just an FYI that you will need to have one handy. Again I’m sure this is in the description somewhere. 4) there were some pieces that feel a little cheap (like the bottom drawer and the way the oven glass is attached.
