I needed an additional option for cooking meals while my kitchen is being remodeled. I decided to try the induction cooker after testing the features I have used it for boiling water, frying breakfast foods, sautéing veggies and frying various meats. The nine power levels and ten temperature controls makes it easy to ensure consistency in preparing my meals. I like the warming feature which keeps food at an even temperature when seconds are desired during meal times. The digital timer is easy to navigate. Never had an issue with our pans not getting recognized and the wifi and Chef Connect feature syncs flawlessly with our GE OTR lights and fan. This is a nice feature you normally only find in higher end brands. Overall love the performance! The only negative: The "Precission Cooking" is pretty useless, unless you have a bluetooth probe or niche smart pans which no longer support an app, this feature is useless so don't buy this cooktop if this is something you really want. So far so good. Equator is the only appliance maker to offer the extremely useful induction-ceramic combo, so kudos to the company for that. These units have a known issue of the hot surface LED for the front right burner not turning off even after the burner has cooled. I'm hoping that they will fix it promptly under warranty. Will update the review based on my experience with their service. For power levels 3 and lower, the induction burners cycle rather than truly lowering power. Not a problem in most cases, especially given that the appliance is relatively inexpensive. First impressions of this stovetop are satisfactory. We haven’t been able to hook it up yet since we are just now wiring the kitchen but it is the perfect size for the small kitchen we are building.
