Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. Relatively easy install, just took time. Solid construction. There is a metal bar that runs under top bunk, that I purchased pipe foam insulation to cover it as I knew it was just a matter of time before a child hit there head really hard on it. While solid wood, it does indent/mark easily, I have two rambunctious boys who quickly put multiple dents in it and cracked the wood where the ladder attaches by pulling up on the ladder, but probably sonething similar would happen with any bed that we got!. My three kiddos are super excited about their new bunkbed! It took my husband, son, and I three hours to put it together but the pictures in the directions were straight forward. We did have to take two parts apart and reassemble them as I missed the direction they had to be facing in order to attach pieces in later steps. I put a soft bath math with a grippy bottom at the foot of the ladder and tucked it under the mattresses on either side to prevent direct falls onto the lower bedframes. The storage space on the top bunk is great for storing a good amount of toys and stuffed animals; the storage drawers between the beds on the bottom are nice for smaller items. We really like the look of this new bunk bed. Unfortunately we thought it was wood and not a metal bed but it really still looks quite nice. It is very sturdy and was actually quicker to assemble than the wooden beds. It has LED lights, cloth storage bins for drawers and a charging station on the small desktop. There is an awkward space between the desk and the bottom bed which I am guessing means you should use the bottom bed as the seat when you are at the desk but if that doesn’t work, you can always put a chair on the other side.
