I’ve had this for around 3 weeks now. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is I thought the frame was going to be black instead of brown in color so I don’t think the brown looks good with the gray top but overall it is very sturdy and well may but it was hard for one person to put together so it took three people to put it together and about three hours I would say. It works great for any time of year and we have really enjoyed it this summer so far because it has kept the bugs out and and have used the fire pit under it and been able to sit out in the evenings and enjoy it.. I really liked this pergola. We needed some extra shade for our goat pen to provide extra shade and it works perfect. We did switch out the bungees that were included to a stronger bungee due to the high winds we have and they fit great. Easy to install and it took my husband and I about an hour to install. Instructions were easy to follow and all the parts were properly labeled. We also used flower pots and cemented the legs in them to provide extra weight. I’m not sure we could be happier with our gazebo. After spending time budgeting and planning a build-from-scratch project, this became clear to us that it was more affordable and frankly better looking. We love the size of the posts and the look of the metal roof. We are looking to add lights and fan(s) in the near future. Ours is a 15x13. We would consider ourselves very handy with tools and construction. It took four of us (two in our twenties and two in our forties) a three day weekend to put this together. The hardest part was the height of the roof and the reach needed to attach some screws. None of the work is challenging. It just requires some basic construction skills and teamwork (patience).. This is a fantastic and so much better than described Pergola! I am positivly surprised by this 12x10 hardtop Gazebo! It is very high quailty with heavy duty hardware. The instrutions were very well written and easy to follow. However it does state in the assembly describtion it would take about 3 h to built, NOT so! The inventory of all the 3 boxes alone took 1 h. Also a positive surprise as the Headline item describtion states "Wood Grain Coated Aluminium" but the Gazebos post, crossbeams turned out to be ACTUAL WOOD! I am elated and i am thrilled for the wood! The Gazebo was delivered in 3 boxes and I could start the built right away. However on initial inventory i discovered, that 4 roof panels were missing ( the 4 large panels in box C ) After immediately messaging the Company via Wayfair directely it was immediately taken care of! We received a new box with the panels inside and could finish our built within 8 days! This sure was yet another reason why I am a huge Wayfair fan and will continously order from Wayfair! It is beautiful, but hard to build, a lot of screws, which take an Alan wrench, all that could have been avoided with the use of buttons that click into place, but the worst part is the Curtains, the directions do not tell you how to put the curtains up, it took four times, with trial and error to figure out how to hang the curtains, if you buy one, you will know what I mean. But when it is built, it is so pretty, and cool inside, the neighbors have stopped speaking. That is when you know you have done good Just a tip, the heavy drapes go on the big bar with the tie strings in the outside, so you can tie the onto the poles with the seam Aligning with each pole The mosquito netting hangs on those smaller curtain rods, which angle out the wrong way to someone that doesn’t know what’s going on, I can zip them and place them on the small skinny curtain rods, making sure that the ties are facing toward the pole that ties them to the pole, And unzip them as you go, that’s pretty much it. Love the way it turned out. It’s definitely a two person job. It was fairly simple assembly until you get to the roofing part. Putting on the metal roof was a challenge, but workable with two people- one on a ladder. The holes lined up exactly with all pieces, but a few times we had to maneuver them and adjust to line things up. We did line up all of the roofing pieces on the ground before beginning as shown in the instructions. Highly suggest that. After assembly, it didn’t not feel as sturdy as we wanted, so we mounted ours to 4 x 4’s and staked those into the ground with rebar. Feels sturdy now. We are very pleased with it.. Kellye. Assembly takes a while! Removing the Saran Wrap from the roofing panels is tedious and ridiculous. Once completely assembled I will update this review with my thoughts. The roof/rain guard is a little cantankerous to install, but is a must for a finished look. So far I love it. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good. It’s really nice! Got a professional to put it together and it took a long time and some extra tools from the hardware store to get it the way we wanted it. Personally love this gazebo! My must haves were to have both curtains and screen panels and to have netting at the top. Fit our sectional dining table easily. We have also hung lights perimeter which was easy with the plastic loops on the corners of the roof! It was fairly easy to put together though my husband is very handy. Only thing that was a little difficult was getting the canopy on the center posts once 34 were on, the last was extremely tight. But I’d rather have that than it be loose and come off! Arrived incredibly fast! It was really easy to put together. It took me about 2 hours to assemble the base by myself, and then my daughter and nephew helped with the top. That part took a little longer (thanks to a few snack and break interruptions ), but the total active assembly time was about 6 to 6½ hours. It’s already held up through some heavy rain and high winds here in the Chicago area—and that was before we even anchored it to the concrete. So far, I’m absolutely loving it. Update After a snow and ice storm in December 2025 the roof caved in. My husband put the frame together by himself in a few hours. Took some time to put up the curtains and netting because of the number of hooks. Our only concern was that the plastic hooks might not last. We will swap them out for metal ones.. Althea.
