This is an excellent beginner's set of stainless steel cookware. I purchased it as a gift. I have a set and it has stayed nice and shiny for me, but that is with the help of a quick polish of Steel Glo each time I use it. I have an extremely expensive set of stainless steel, which I love, but often use this auxilliary set because the handles don't care about my gas burners. The expensive set has bakelite handles and they do not perform well if the burner is set too high, as they will burn and crack in the flame. The bakelite also doesn't perform well in the dishwasher as it discolors. This Wearever set loves the dishwasher. No complaints about it and my set has been to Alaska and back in a motorhome, and is now used in my home kitchen. My set is nearly two years old and still looks pristine. For the price, I'm convinced there is no better quality stainless steel cookware set available, and in addition, this set is made in the USA. So unless you'd rather pay more for a worse product made in China, I can see little reason why not to buy this set. This set might be a bit expensive for some people, but when buying something like this, why not spend a little more to get something significantly better? You certainly won't regret having a higher-quality item down the road!
My only complaint with the set is that it doesn't include lids for the 8" and 12" fry pans. It's a minor gripe, since you can buy the lids direct from Regal Ware, but it would have been nice to pay a little more and just have them included in the set.

Set arrived yesterday [...] Set looks great. Couldn't wait to cook with them. Cooks very good. The nonstick seems to be great quality for the price. Handles don't heat up; don't need potholders so far. Like the glass tops for ability to see food cooking. But I'm wary of them breaking by accidentally dropping. Never used glass tops before. Like the silicone on the handles; great idea. Like the bottoms of the pots, too. Like that handles are riveted. Also, the heavy weight of the set. Not overly heavy; just feels sturdy. I couldnt believe just how hard it was to find a cookware set made in the USA. I finally found a set I liked but it was on back order until february which is not acceptable for a Christmas present. I found this set just four days before Christmas and it arrived the day before with standard shipping. I love the set, has a great weight and havent had any problems. I went with the nonstick pans because of all the reviews I read about everything sticking and hard to clean. So far they look great and there has been a lot of holiday cooking going on.
