PRICE/VALUE: I recommend checking out WayfairRugs if only to get a sense for prices on the market as you comparison shop. The price I paid for this rug purchased from Wayfair was competitive, [...]. Because braided rugs are reversible, you are in a sense getting two rugs for the price of one. I don't mind paying up front for a quality product that will give me years of good wear.SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW SMALL PEOPLE: To my knowledge, Colonial Mills rugs are American classics still made in the United States by an American company employing Americans and legal immigrants.COLORS: This particular Russet was on clearance sale, and I did worry a bit at first that it would be too drab. But the colors are a nice range of browns laced with taupe and a light gray. They blend well with the fireplace bricks and the painted wood floor in my apartment.MAINTENANCE: This 100% wool braided area rug can be rolled up easily and taken to the cleaners. You can have it moth-proofed by a reputable rug cleaner, or open the end of its plastic wrap after it has been cleaned and pour some mothballs down there if you plan to keep it in storage for the warm summer months. Keep the vacuum cleaner brushes on a higher setting so that you do not abrade the braids prematurely! Shifting this rug is easy in order to maintain the floor underneath it.VERSATILITY: If you rent as I do, you, too, probably are tired of inheriting other people's dirt, stains, and pet mess in ghastly wall-to-wall carpets. Because this is an area rug, you can take it with you when you move and move it around your home wherever and whenever you like.FIBER: I chose 100% wool to feel cozy in front of the fireplace when guests visit during cold, dreary winter weather. Colonial Mills offers blends, synthetics, and recycleds that you can check out if those work better for you. As a natural fiber, wool is 100% biodegradeable."..."Read more
This rug is the first purchase Ive made through Wayfair and Im thrilled with the whole experience. I originally saw the rug at a local big box store. I decided to compare prices online and was able to buy it at Wayfair on sale for over 100 less with free shipping. Even if it hadnt been on sale, Wayfairs price was still lower. I was worried about buying a rug online though, because its so hard to tell what it would look like once its in your home. The photo is an accurate depiction. The rugs color name is BeigeGray but in my home the gray looks like it has some subtle slate blue in it. That is probably because of my lighting but it is exactly what I wanted. Again, the photo represents this color very well. I called Wayfair to discuss this rug and the customer service rep was incredibly sweet and helpful. She put the rug on hold for me for a week to lock in the sale price while I decided if I wanted to order it. Once I decided yes, I received the rug in the promised number of delivery days (cant remember now how many days it was, but the website states that info - it wasnt long). I love the rug! It was obviously delivered all rolled up, and so took a few days to lay completely flat. We also had to turn it 180 degrees from the way we originally set it up because, as with all carpet fibers, depending on the cut of the fiber, one direction might reflect more light than the other. We wanted a more flat color look which we achieved by simple turning the carpet around. All of my guests over the holidays, commented on the subtle colors and beauty of this rug. I very highly recommend this company and the rug."..."Read more
I wanted to update our den. For various reasons (not the least of which is that my husband hates change) it isn't possible to buy any new furniture now. So, I decided that some new lamps, new slipcovers, a new color scheme and some new rugs would do the trick. The room went from green EVERYTHING to a lovely latte colored oasis. Even with the old furniture the room looks terrific, due in large part to these rugs. I love braided rugs, but here again, my husband likes to stick with the same old, same old. However, this time I insisted we do it MY way and even he admits it looks great. The quality of the rugs is wonderful - I don't find them to be at all rough. The colors are almost exactly as pictured and look so pretty against the hardwood floor. We got a great deal on these too. Wayfair had a 25% coupon PLUS the rug pads were included in the price. We didn't put the rugs down immediately since the room had to be painted first - so they were bagged for a couple of weeks. Once down the edges curled a bit, but after a couple of hours they laid out perfectly. As for durability, time will tell, although one of our dachshunds is a "scratcher" but hasn't yet hurt the rug or pulled any threads. I really love Wayfair because the prices are extremely competitive,[...] there are usually coupons, the shipping is generally free and there's no tax for where I live. [...]All in all, it's a terrific company and I wholeheartedly recommend them. The main thing is that if you don't have access to a store to see a product, you MUST ask questions. That's what I do and have yet to have a problem with anything I buy over the net. [...] their prices are what keeps me coming back to shop their stores."..."Read more

For searching purposes, the rug size here refers to the largest dimension of the rug. Usually it is desirable to expose at least a foot of flooring around the perimeter of the rug. Most living room seating areas require a 6' x 9' rug and dining rooms usually require at least an 8' wide rug.
