This area rug is definitely gray and BLUE even though the photo shows that is has brown in it. DO NOT BUY IF YOURE EXPECTING BROWN. I'm happy with this rug, but a couple of things that were a bit of a surprise. Some reviewers talk about how soft it is - it's actually more furry than plush. Also, even though I spent a LOT of time reading reviews, I don't recall anyone mentioning how much celadon green is included. The overall effect color-wise pretty much matches the pictures. I have the matching runner in the hall (minimal natural light) and it looks pretty dark. The one in the living room is under skylights, so during the day, it's not as rich looking. Again, though, I'm fine with them since they meet my decorating needs. I did add a carpet pad underneath because they are thin and even putting the rugs flat upside down for a couple of days beforehand could not get the corners to uncurl, so I ended up buying stickers for each corner (fingers crossed they don't damage my hardwood!).
