This is smaller than I imagined but I didnt compare the dimensions to the space I wanted to fill so thats on me for not realizing how small this is. It only fits about 6 pairs of shoes. But, thats fine as its meant to be used just to store shoes we wear all the time taking the dog in and out so we dont leave shoes in the entry way. It wouldnt work for mass shoe storage. I bought it because I absolutely love the different colors of wood and the rustic shabby chic look. And it does not disappoint- looks just like the photo online, maybe nicer. Looks like real wood. My boyfriend put it together and it did take him a little while with some swearing to get the job done. But, it came together just fine. All parts were there and it seemed logical. I needed a bench in my garage to put my outside shoes on and have a place to sit while I’m doing so. I purchased the roughhewn unfinished benchshoe rack. It took a while to arrive, I’m guessing because more needed to be made. It’s a very simply made benchshoe rack but it is very sturdy. My only complaint is that the photos Wayfair shows are deceiving - the shelves for the shoes are not very high, so for rain boots and shoes with any height, they have to be laid on their side, which takes up more room on the shelves. Unlike some of the other reviews I have read, I had no damage to the bench - no split wood or corner damage. It came all in one piece, nothing to put together, and the box wasn’t too bad to manage. I would suggest to the manufacturer that some sort of corner protector would be a good idea when shipping the painted benches. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.. Nancy. USA. Sat Mar 25 2023
