There is a vent on the floor in my entry and because of the wood slats in the shelves I was able to set it over the vent without blocking the airflow. The bench is not very wide, so it doesn’t stick out into my entry, but it’s wide enough to sit on and bend over to put on shoes. My husband has large feet and his shoes. Don’t stick out from the shelves. (Although one shoe in the photo is not pushed all the way in, so it appears to stick out) I was so surprised to realize how well the fabric matches my walls! Shoes were always left on the floor to trip over and now they can fit neatly in the shoe cubby holes. My husband's size 13 shoes also fit. Love it and highly recommend this product. The bench was as expected, it fit my small space and seems pretty sturdy. Note that the width of the item in the images conflicts with the product specifications, 23.6” vs 31.9”. This show bench is super cute! It actually holds about 9 pairs of shoes, mine and my boyfriends. We chose to not add the led light in but it would look great with that too!
