It is actually a pretty solid car port. high ceilings. I do agree with that one reviewer - if only they made the bolts a couple mm longer, it would make set up so much quicker. So impressed with how massive this thing is. Built it to house yard sale stuff as I declutter my house. We didn’t add the doors yet so there is a breeze in Texas heat but covered from the rain. The hardest part was centering the tarp between the two sides (front and back) and took my neighbor coming over to help after seeing me struggle. terrible! I paid and wait for half a year to get the product. About three weeks ago, I installed. Today I found it is nearly broken in the middle of the beam. I have to use supporting poles. I purchased this canopy to use as a patio cover. I had previously purchased one and wanted more shade from the San Diego sun. The quality is good and the price too. We are really happy with this carport and how well it goes with our historic brick home and dark grey sided garage; it doesn't stand out as too modern and that's exactly what we hoped for. The Jeep fits in well, and the unit seems pretty sturdy. One caveat; we'd read reviews that suggested it was an easy build; it was not. We hired a team of handymen and it took them 2 days ($900) to add the concrete footers and put together the 3 boxes with the 75 page manuel; there are a lot of parts... just figure that into your installation plans. Good portable garage and I was very happy with the package contents. It took me 5 hours by myself to put this together am happy with this unit. Let me tell you why. The setup is based on photosimages but the hardware needed is listed by size. The tubular framing is marked and the untalkation image tells it all. Once the frsme was assembled the f t onto, rear the finally the top cover were installed. I was happy at this point with the way everything was going. You now have the lower cross tubular supports to install on each side. After this was completed I adjusted the front and rear tensioners and took a loom at the assembled portable garage. I was very happy and the height was much taller than the one I replaced. Finally and most important. The ground stakes and supports to keep this unit from leaving your yard from the wind. The twist into the ground anchors I faster with is cable and hardware thats not included I used the small ss cable and connectors that kept the last one i had un my yard. I also used heavy duty zip ties and the hammer in spikes for each support on the ground for each upright. I am very happy with this purchase. Just take your time with the intallation.. Charles. It took about 4 hrs for two of us to set up. It wasnt that hard but I had a shelter already up (different brand (Rhino) but same basic design) to keep referring to. Was easier than my last shelter to but the cover on and tighten it-- seems well made though the poles do not seem as heavy duty as my Rhino shelter . It was disappointing that there were no grommet holes in the tops of the door to roll up the door-- I didnt know you had to buy a separate kit to get the doors to roll up (I looked it up and it does not seem all that easy to install-grommet holes wouldve been a no brainer). I rigged up a way to keep the door rolled up but that seems lame that they do not offer grommet enforced holes. I will see how it stands up to NH winters -- it is snug for my CRV. If I was a big person it would be hard to get in and out of-- makes me wish I wouldve gotten the pointed roof as the bend lessens the space. All and all it looks good--was easy enough to set up -the instructions are pretty pathetic and it would NOT have been easy had I not done one before. Good quality for the price.. Anonymous. Purchased this last spring and finally put it together when the temps came down in Az. This is a high quality product, fairly easy to assemble, It's possible to assemble with one person but would not recommend it, I did it, with a pair of Jaw Horses to hold the post up and fabricated a tool to pull the roof panels down to the rain gutters to attach them. I'm a licensed aircraft mechanic. The 3 reasons I purchased this unit is the wind rating of 75 mph, not made in China, and the 10 year warranty. It took about 4 hrs for two of us to set up. It wasnt that hard but I had a shelter already up (different brand (Rhino) but same basic design) to keep referring to. Was easier than my last shelter to but the cover on and tighten it-- seems well made though the poles do not seem as heavy duty as my Rhino shelter . It was disappointing that there were no grommet holes in the tops of the door to roll up the door-- I didnt know you had to buy a separate kit to get the doors to roll up (I looked it up and it does not seem all that easy to install-grommet holes wouldve been a no brainer). I rigged up a way to keep the door rolled up but that seems lame that they do not offer grommet enforced holes. I will see how it stands up to NH winters -- it is snug for my CRV. If I was a big person it would be hard to get in and out of-- makes me wish I wouldve gotten the pointed roof as the bend lessens the space. All and all it looks good--was easy enough to set up -the instructions are pretty pathetic and it would NOT have been easy had I not done one before. Good quality for the price.. Anonymous. I couldn't start the build until today and I seem to be missing 2 of the 802630 pieces that would be the Shelterlock stabilizer blocks. and I had to use a Dremel tool to smooth the burrs on a couple of pipes. Otherwise, the build is going well I should be done tomorrow. because it was I think a 20" order with a couple of extra boxes to add the extra 8' One extra box had the stabilizer blocks but, the other didn't? I assume that is why there are all sorts of different bags of bolts and nuts instead of a bag of 2", a bag of 3", and a bag of nuts. so you could just count and be sure?
